Mysore style
the class is ‘open’ for 2 hours. Come and start your practice within the first 40 minutes of start time. Generally you practice for around 90 minutes, more or less depending on what you’re instructed, your energy level and the sequence you’ve been given.
Led
the class starts right on time. Please arrive 5 minutes early or advise your teacher if you will be late. If due to unforeseen circumstances you are late, slip in very quietly and join the class.
Beginners
You may come to a led or ‘Mysore style’ (ie self-practice style) Ashtanga yoga class as a complete beginner, please just send an email or phone first. However we advise you also consider, or do alongside, a beginners course.
The course over 4 weeks enables a supportive beginners environment to show the fundamental aspects of practicing this amazing method of yoga – breath, focus, strength and continuous movement. We will look at what is required to be in the quiet and disciplined environment of the self-practice ‘Mysore-style’ class room and also ways of remembering the sequence and a little bit of work on the key poses in the first part of the series.

Hatha
you may come to this class as a complete beginner. The class is steady, slow and relaxing. Expect to work a little and to rest well.
Kids
