Katie Away On Leave

My husband Alan and I are spending a month in the States soon, visiting friends. There’ll be lots of yoga and food research on my part! We are very excited… We leave Hamilton next week on Wednesday 21 October and we’ll return on Sunday 22 November. Thank you for letting me slip away, I’ll be back.

While I’m away all my classes will be covered and Peter will be in charge. Watch out! Any queries direct to him. I can still be reached by email though. To give you an idea of how classes are being covered:

Dee will take most Wednesday night Hatha’s as Yin class

Peter to take my Mysore Ashtanga classes

Kay to take the Basics Led class Friday morning

Kata and Victoria to take all other Hatha classes

Marliese to take the older and middle age group kids classes as one class on Thursdays. We are trailing this while I am away. After my return the two classes will potentially separate again to Monday and Thursday.

There will be no scheduled Tuesday and Friday 6am Self-practice sessions or Mums n Bubs 11am Friday while I’m away through to the first week in December.

 

Labour Day Weekend Closure 24 – 26 October

Studio closed for the whole weekend from Mysore class Friday night through to Monday night. There will be the 9:15am Basics Led on the Friday though. Enjoy your long weekend.

 

Yin Yoga Programme

Dee’s popular Yin class will keep running through to the end of the year on a mostly once a fortnight basis. Here are the dates this Sunday 12:00 – 1:30pm class will run:

October 18

November 1, 15 and 22

December 6, 13 and 20

 

One Day Yoga Retreat

Energetic Healer and Natural Therapist Catherine McCarthy and I will run a One Day At A Time Retreat on December 5th. This is a day of precious space, care and exploration with massage treatments, yoga sessions, learning experiences and lots of peace and quiet in a beautiful private residence. The day costs $120 and runs from 8am to 4pm. You are fed light and healthy vegetarian food and all sessions and workshops are included in the price. The theme for the day is: Setting Goals for Change. We’re looking forward to running this day and we’d love to hear from you if you’re interested in attending. The venue is in rural Rototuna, so not much traveling required. Please send an email to enquire.

 

Kiri Sutherland Workshop

The delightful Kiri will be with us again the last weekend in November. She will give a weekend intensive in Ashtanga yoga. Class Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a technical session Saturday afternoon. Book in via email. Details:

$25/class ($40 tech session). $90 whole workshop

 

End Of Year Dates

The studio will be open for classes though to Sunday 20 December with self–pactice options after that into the new year. Classes will resume slowly from 11 January. Any memberships current when we close simply halt through the period we are closed.

 

Pregnancy Yoga – Women’s Circle

Kata and Victoria will be giving 2 more Women’s Circle pregnancy yoga sessions this year. This is an eqxistibe programme of antenatal yoga, health dance, meditation, relaxation, interesting talks from health professionals and loving kindness from these two talented yoga teachers . November 29th – speaker Kylie of Phillips Family Chiropractic

 

Afternoons With Rosie

Rosie is due to give a workshop soon. Rosie facilities the space so that inquiry can happen as a group and ideas shared. These afternoons are a wonderful opportunity to open your mind to looking further. If you feel you’d like to explore things on a private one on one consultation basis Rosie’s professional services are avaialbe for hire. You can make a booking directly with her. These afternoon workshops are run on a koha basis. Next workshop at the studio:

Some habits can be tripping us up! Unhelpful and sometimes unconscious habits might be leading us away from the peaceful place we want to be. In this workshop we will explore ways of changing habits to support our well- being”
