Ashtanga and General Hatha Yoga

Meri kirihimete & happy new year

Kia ora tatoa,

I wanted to reassure you with news of what yoga class when/where and how we start back in the new year/what’s new etc! And to say, Merry Christmas!

There are 3 x meditation + pranayama and positive visualisation sessions next week. These have been happening every week for the past month or so and feel absolutely wonderful to do, we all seem to get a lot from them. Simple though powerful techniques to exercise the respiratory system and gentle easy to follow meditations to settle. All are welcome, they are via zoom and just 30 minutes long. These sessions will continue into 2022.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday – next week.

Then … the regular timetable will start (slowly) from Wednesday 12 January.

And as always, please check the timetable to book and to see any updates and notices.

Self-Practice options:
Most mornings from 6:30am and evenings from 5pm, from here on till we commence again, there will be people practicing their Ashtanga (or other quiet/focussed practice) sequence in the main practice room. If you would like to join in please text me: 0211207131 to get in the loop. Sessions are $5 or free as a part of your membership.

You may still purchase a Gift Voucher as a Christmas present (I can send you a PDF). These will also be available in the new year.

I’d like to finish by offering thanks to all our wonderful teachers (Sabine, Dee, Victoria, Kasha, Jerrica, Kata, Helen, Marisol, Holly, Tina, Karyn) and to our volunteers and members who are integral part of the studio and yoga community. Particular thanks to Justine Thomas for her excellent 2.I.C capabilities and her beautiful way with connecting people and organising get-togethers. Our elegant Nonagenarian (kupu hou) Maureen Mclean, for her inspirational yoga, floral arrangements and help whenever needed. To Mei-Li for her skills and awhi in our Mums n Bubs class. To our cleaners, Sarah and Larissa, thank you. To Tina for offering free-of-charge study sessions on the Yoga Sutras with so much enthusiasm.

To you all, thank you … through a tough year, through thick and thin, we have all come through together. I look forward to facilitating more yoga experiences and opportunities for wellness through movement, healing, food and community in the new year.

May you be happy, may you be well.

Arohanui e te whanau,

Katie
