Beginners Intro Courses to Ashtanga. 2012


You may come to an Ashtanga yoga class as a complete beginner but it may be helpful to do an Intro course first.

The course enables a supportive beginners environment to show the fundamental aspects of practicing this amazing method of yoga – breath, focus, strength and continuous movement.  We will look at what is required to be in the quiet and disciplined environment of the self-practice ‘Mysore-style’ class room and also ways of remembering the sequence and a little bit of work on the key poses in the first part of the series.

The next 4 week course on Thursdays at 7:30 – 8:30pm is:

18 October – 7 November

$50 course cost or $15 per class.

Covering fundaments of Ashtanga yoga, introduction to the Mysore style, learning the sequence and a look at the philosophy behind yoga.
